When it comes to leaving school students have so much on their plate. They are truly on their own for the first time and have student loans staring them in the face only six months away. Then there is the big one–finding a job.
Luckily my favorite thing–Ask a Manager, has a section dedicated just to new graduates that gives them advice on how things work in the real world. Often times this is different than how it is advertised from the career center (in fact Alison has a section called “Lies Your Career Center Has Told You).
Like all advice on Ask a Manager I strongly suggest this section for new grads as the difference between finding a job and not can very much set the table with how student loans are handled down the road.
